SI <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"SVILUPPANO\" data-scaytid=\"156\">SVILUPPANO<\/span> LE <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"VARICI\" data-scaytid=\"158\">VARICI<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#perch\ufffd_handicap\"><span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"PERCHE'LE\" data-scaytid=\"162\">PERCHE&#8217;LE<\/span> <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"VARICI\" data-scaytid=\"160\">VARICI<\/span> <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"SONO\" data-scaytid=\"163\">SONO<\/span> UN HAND#ICAP<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<p align=\"left\"><a name=\"inizio\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>AWHAT\u00a0ARE THE VEINS\u00a0USED FOR?<\/strong><a name=\"cosa_servono\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\"><span class=\"textbold\">Veins are used to bring\u00a0the blood\u00a0from\u00a0muscles and\u00a0\u00a0tissues\u00a0back to\u00a0the heart<\/span><span class=\"textcourant\">, contrary to\u00a0arteries\u00a0that transport\u00a0blood from the heart to the organs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\">Therefore,\u00a0at the level of the legs, in a\u00a0standing or a\u00a0sitting position,<span class=\"textbold\"> veins must carry the\u00a0blood up to the heart,\u00a0facing against\u00a0gravity<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"80%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"228\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1348\" src=\"https:\/\/asval.it\/varici\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/animation1us-136x300.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"136\" height=\"300\" \/><\/td>\n<td width=\"228\">\n<div align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1346\" src=\"https:\/\/asval.it\/varici\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/animation2us-136x300.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"136\" height=\"300\" \/><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p class=\"textcourant\"><span class=\"textcourant\">To enable the\u00a0blood going\u00a0up,\u00a0the veins are equipped with\u00a0anti-backward flow valves, which\u00a0permit blood<br \/>\nflowing\u00a0upwards and which\u00a0prevent it from falling down\u00a0towards the feet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\"><span class=\"textcourant\">At\u00a0any movements of the legs and\u00a0especially\u00a0during the walk, veins get\u00a0crushed\u00a0by muscular contractions and\u00a0by movements of the\u00a0joints,\u00a0that pushes the\u00a0blood\u00a0upwards, thanks to the valves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>WHY\u00a0VARICOSE\u00a0VEINS DEVELOP ?<\/strong><a name=\"perch\ufffd_sisviluppano\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\">This disease is related to <span class=\"textbold\">a weakness of the venous wall<\/span>, probably with\u00a0hereditary origins. This weakness<span class=\"textbold\">will worsen gradually<\/span>, and it is\u00a0favored by various risk factors such as\u00a0trades\u00a0with extended\u00a0standing position, trampling, putting on weight, pregnancy, heat, risk\u00a0sports, etc\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\">The venous wall will end up <span class=\"textbold\">dilating<\/span>, and\u00a0the <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"valvules\" data-scaytid=\"5\">valvules<\/span> will diverge, letting blood flee to the bottom (backward flow). This backward flow will involve an increase in pressure in the vein (<span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"hyperpression\" data-scaytid=\"7\">hyperpression<\/span>). Dilation becomes permanent: it is a varicose vein.<\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\"><strong><span class=\"textbold\">A vicious circle will be created:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"textcourant\"><span class=\"textbold\"><span class=\"textcourant\">The backward flow causes a <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"hyperpression\" data-scaytid=\"9\">hyperpression<\/span>, the <span class=\"scayt-misspell\" data-scayt_word=\"hyperpression\" data-scaytid=\"11\">hyperpression<\/span> worsens the dilation of the vein, and the more the vein dilates, the more the backward flow worsens.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"textfort\"><span class=\"textfort\">This phenomenon will extend gradually to the\u00a0nearer veins and will contaminate an increasingly wide surface venous network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"80%\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1347 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/asval.it\/varici\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dilatation-of-the-wall-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asval.it\/varici\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dilatation-of-the-wall-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/asval.it\/varici\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/dilatation-of-the-wall.jpg 486w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: inherit;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><strong>WHY VARICOSE VEINS REPRESENT A REAL HANDICAP ?<\/strong><a name=\"perch\ufffd_handicap\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The varicose veins represent a real handicap:<\/p>\n<p><strong>For aesthetic reasons:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The varicosities or telangiectasis are skin venules, as thin as hair, in the shape of stars or legs of spider of blue, violet or red color, generally very apparent. They precede the varicose veins which are larger and very unaesthetic dilated veins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the comfort of life:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The varicose veins can be responsible for pains, heavness, unpleasant swelling, tingling sensations, itching or restless legs.
